Experts Suggest This Gondola Shelving System for Specialty Foods

Corner Station Olive Oil Company is a specialty foods store based in Waynesville, North Carolina. A family-owned business since 1928, they sell a wide variety of olive oils, vinegars, and other oils for cooking and home use. They offer a wide selection of oils and vinegars from around the world and country, giving customers in the greater Asheville region a taste they wouldn't find in their local grocery store. They even offer classes and a tasting bar to sample these fine oils.

Corner Station were redesigning their store, and was looking for a custom wooden gondola shelving system with bins to match the minimal look they wanted. They contacted DGS Retail, and sought out a gondola system that works best for them. We worked with them in customizing a display that really showcased what they sold. We provided a store layout featuring our shelving components that were re-purposed to look more like a custom millwork solution. The design included wooden wall gondola and island display units with our crate bin shelving. The color combination chosen was black gondola with culinary cream stain finish. Shelf talkers were utilized throughout to educate their shoppers about their unique product line.

The end result, as you see in these photos, are shelving units and displays that really accentuate the look of their store. They put a better focus on the products they sell. They were able to successfully open their store on time, and to positive reviews from their customers.
