The Biggest Challenge in Making Produce Signage: Timeline!

This was certainly the case when DGS Retail worked with The Organic Market, a small 5000 square foot family owned natural and organic health and food store based on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. The Organic Market, also known as Cape Cod Natural Markets, and owners Rory Eames and Darby Ziruk, were expanding their business into two locations and were in need of a vendor to quickly produce custom signage that could be installed in their new store. The Organic market was interested in a complete store signage package and needed it quickly. The owners planned their grand opening to coincide with the big July 4, the holiday weekend on busy Cape Cod.

With the grand opening fast approaching, DGS Retail, in partnership with UNFI was under an extremely tight timeline to produce and install custom aisle directories, department signs, outriggers and a number of fixtures to help merchandise and market the new Organic Market location. In addition to signage and fixtures, The Organic Market relied on the art and design department at DGS Retail to come up with a custom logo and design to help brand their store.

Optimal Sign Design and Installation

DGS Retail worked with the store owners and UNFI to custom design department signs for Health, Beauty & Cosmetics, Organic Produce, Organic Frozen Foods and a new service Juice Bar among other departments. Utilizing our extensive library of stock small store aisle marker designs, DGS Retail added Organic Market’s new logo to customize them for a unique look that helped to convey the store’s brand qualities to shoppers. DGS Retail also provided special aisle markers that have the ability to mount to the wire metro shelving gondola units the owner’s wanted to use for a high-end look. From start to finish DGS Retail completed manufacturing the store signage in under 4 weeks time and provided installation services as well. Organic Market was able to open to great reviews before the July 4.
