You start with an easy-to-assemble double-sided starter unit. It has a platinum finish baked on polyester for resilience from chipping and fading and for extended wear protection. The platinum pegboard panels are 1/4" thick-tempered hardboard with a laminate finish of the same color. This is a double-sided unit. The front and back sides are identical. The unit includes industrial grade slotted uprights that support shelves. Lozier shelves are rated to hold up to 500 lbs. Each 48" wide gondola unit is rated to display up to 2500 lbs. This makes it the perfect display solution for most retailers. The starter unit comes with 2 pegboard panels, 2 vertical slotted steel uprights, 2 base shelves and internal rolled-steel display feet, along with any gondola shelving parts you to assemble it. Lozier shelves are sold separately. 

What are Starter and Add-on Gondola Units?

Standard retail shelving displays are generally sold in two different kits called starter and add-on units. The starter unit usually is 4 feet wide and is a standalone retail floor fixture. It has two slotted uprights to insert shelves into, an integrated base shelf and a pegboard back panel. To extend the width of the starter, add-on units are used. The slotted uprights are shared from one display to the next, so the add-on only is supplied with one slotted upright part. On a standard 4 foot wide display, one add-on unit will increase the total width to 8 feet, two add-ons to12 feet long, and so on. The add-on kit has everything the starter unit has except for the one extra slotted upright.
